Kinross town centre is less than a mile where there are shops, banks, post office, hotels, leisure centre including a swimming pool, library, state of the art community campus facilities and several excellent restaurants.

A recent refurbishment to Kelson Lodge has resulted in a very comfortable contemporary home. We offer two spacious double bedrooms, one with en suite facilities, the other with a private adjoining bathroom. Both bedrooms have plasma TV, dvd player, hospitality tray and hair dryer. Wi-fi access is free.

The views across Loch Leven to the Castle Island are arguably the best in Kinross-shire. From April to October a ferry runs from the Pier to Loch Leven Castle, this is operated by Historic Scotland and there is a small charge.

The Loch Leven Heritage Trail is a very do-able walk around the shores of Loch Leven and many activities are available locally including golf (with St Andrews and Gleneagles both within an hour drive), fishing on the renowned waters of Loch Leven for the indigenous brown trout, Scottish Gliding Union headquarters and airfield, hot air ballooning, microlight flights, RSPB Vane Farm and nearby Balado is the venue for the annual T in the Park music festival.
